Traditional Irish Music

The Old Bay Ceili Band plays Irish Traditional dance music in a local style that has roots in the music of western Ireland. Comprised of the top young Irish musicians from Washington, DC and Maryland, it is the product of a vibrant local Irish community that is steeped in Ireland's musical tradition. In both 2008 and 2009, the Old Bay Ceili Band represented the United States in the senior ceili band competition at the Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann, the world competition of Irish Traditional music. The band performs regularly at dances and festivals throughout the Washington, DC area and across the country.
